To commemorate the International Day of Colour, which is celebrated tomorrow, 21 March, CIN, the leading Iberian brand in the paint and varnish market, has prepared a coloured mural, located alongside the Entrecampos station in Lisbon, which resulted from a crowdpainting activity.
An 8x3 metre “blank” outdoor panel was made available by the Entrecampos station, one week before the marked date, and the brand has invited people to climb onto a platform and paint a mural illustrated by the artist Vanessa Teodoro with CIN paints and colours.
The mural will remain on exhibit in Entrecampos for 3 weeks, and is the result of an outdoor intervention project involving the contribution of many Portuguese individuals. It will now give colour to the city of Lisbon, celebrating this colourful date.
With wide dissemination through CIN’s social networks, a making-of video has been made for this project and this will be launched tomorrow, on International Colour Day, on the brand's Facebook and Instagram pages.
This is also the first activity by CIN on the Instagram social network, which it joined very recently.
Everything will change with CIN, on Instagram and on Facebook.
With this street activity, which was carried out in the city of Lisbon, CIN has contributed to creating a colourful and fun atmosphere, by inviting Portuguese individuals to paint their day in a different colour and so raise awareness of the importance that colour has in our lives.
According to Sónia Moreira, Brand and Communication Manager at CIN, “This year, once again, we wanted to involve Portuguese individuals in the International Day of Colour, by offering them something truly innovative!
After inviting people to join CIN at Entrecampos to give colour to our “blank” screen, we are giving everyone the possibility to paint and participate in constructing this moral which will decorate the city of Lisbon in order to mark the International Day of Colour!
The aim of initiatives like this is to try to get closer to our customers and also raise awareness of Portuguese individuals to the importance colour has in our daily lives".
This crowdprinting activity by CIN was carried out in partnership with Mindshare and with JC Decaux Innovate.
It should be noted that the International Day of Colour, institutionalized by the Portuguese Association of Colour, is an initiative discussed by the international community which seeks to uphold the importance and influence of colour in different cultures.
Since it was first celebrated in 2012, CIN has annually celebrated this with cheerful and colourful activities.
